Established twelve years ago in the market town of Shifnal, Shropshire, Sunflower Fostering work alongside foster carers living in Shropshire & North Wales, Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

Sunflower Fostering are able to provide foster carers and children with a unique ‘wrap around’ service.  As well as our team’s diverse range of knowledge and experience, we can access expertise and resources for care, education and therapy.  The immediate access to these services means we are able to support foster carers when they need extra help the most.

Previously known as ‘Options Fostering’ we have been working with local authorities to provide specialised family placements for children and young people for over twelve years.   Sunflower fostering receive far more referrals than we are able to provide placements for which means foster carers are in high demand and the agency very rarely has vacancies unless this is because foster carers have requested this.

Sunflower fostering take referrals from local authorities all over the UK.

We recruit people like you to join us and become the most important part of changing children’s lives.

accreditations-01

“All children, including those with communication difficulties, are consulted regularly” (Ofsted report)”

“The service has very good leadership. The Registered Manager embraces change and ensures that she knows the carers and children thoroughly” (Ofsted report)”

“We picked this agency because the Manager took the time to come out and talk to us, that doesn’t usually happen”

The agency has outgrown the current location and will be moving to our own premises on the Shropshire/Staffordshire borders this Summer.    Located only 5 miles from the therapy suite, access to the therapy team will remain quick and easy.

Sunflower Fostering understand foster carers will need a ‘wrap around’ service to support them with the fostering task.  The in-house therapy team offers the unique position of providing foster carers access to a diverse range of clinical expertise.

We are a small agency, with no plans to become too big or even be in the position we don’t know our foster carers on a one to one level. We promise you that you will never feel like a number and we will be with you every step of the way, everyday, throughout your fostering career.
