Sunflower Fostering Match Visit to Walsall FC

Sunflower Fostering, has recently struck up a relationship with the Wyrley Wildcats U11s.

The agency has agreed to sponsor shirts and purchase rain coats for the girls’ team, which belongs to Wyrley Juniors.

The sponsorship deal came about after Sunflower Fostering learned that one of its carers, Pete Jones, was involved in coaching the team, which his foster child plays for.

To celebrate the deal, Sunflower Fostering treated the girls to a day out at Bescot today on Saturday 15th October 2016 prior to the match between Shrewsbury and Walsall with the Walsall Community team. The football-mad Wildcats have enjoyed a tour of the ground as part of their special treat.

Unfortunately Pete, a lifelong Walsall fan and season-ticket holder, has had to miss out of the day due to a family holiday. That’ll teach him to take a foreign holiday in the middle of the season!

Sunflower Fostering manager, Fleur Johnson, said: “We were happy to step in and help when we heard about Pete’s involvement with the Wyrley Wildcats. Our foster carers give so much to the children in their care, we thought it would be a lovely way to show our appreciation.”

Options is currently recruiting foster carers across Walsall.
